Every year, I find these lines helpful:

Laetare Sunday: “…for the children of the desolate woman are more numerous than those of the one who has a husband.”

Palm Sunday: “Save me from the lion’s mouth, and rescue me defenseless from the horn of the unicorn…”

“My heart is broken with insults and sadness, and I looked for one who would share my grief, and there was no one: for one who would comfort me, and I found no one…”

I’m keeping this brief, because it’s Holy Week, and we’ve all got better places to be, but…well, He wouldn’t say these things if He didn’t understand them, and He wouldn’t make such a promise if it wasn’t true.
